We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our existing team to work in our state-of-the-art purpose built Workshop at Mossfield Mill, Bury. The role is the repair and refurbishment of machine parts and the machining of new components.

Your Role:

• Repairing and producing new parts/components on the following types of machines:
  • Lathe’s
  • Miller’s
  • Pillar Drill’s
• Manufacturing custom parts
• Generating technical drawings where required
• Maintaining stock levels of raw material
• Always keeping work area safe and tidy
• To respond promptly to requests in a timely manner and carry out any reasonable ad hoc duties requested by the workshop manager.
• To follow company working policies and practices

Ideal Candidate

• Time served Machinist
• The ability to read and draw up technical drawings of each component
• A strong work ethic and proactive approach to work
• High level of communication skills.
• A professional attitude towards work and willingness to be flexible
• A high level of attention to detail
