Job Description
We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our fast paced existing team, working to ensure stock levels are maintained in the most time efficient and cost effective manner.
Your Role
- To deal with customer sales orders in a timely manner.
- To ensure stock levels are maintained to a high level
- To ensure parts are sourced quickly and in a cost-efficient manner.
- Expediting the stock whilst building supplier relationships.
- Identify any potential cost savings for the business.
- Daily contact with up to 500 worldwide suppliers.
- Liasing with customers and suppliers via email and telephone.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous purchasing experience in dealing with Cost reductions, Spare Parts, Sourcing parts, Order acknowledgments, identifying parts and problem solving would be preferred.
- Raising Purchase Orders
- Good knowledge and understanding of Website ordering
- Computer Literate, ability to use Excel would be preferred
- Knowledge of the Siclops Software system (Not essential)
- Knowledge of bakery & catering equipment would be advantageous
- A good telephone manner and ability to deal efficiently with customers and suppliers queries
