Job Description
Millers Vanguard are looking for a highly motivated and experienced facilities manager to manage our small in-house facilities team. They will look to implement process and control spend across our 4 buildings whilst also developing our own FM structure.
You will proactively implement and manage processes and routines alongside taking the lead in reacting swiftly and efficiently to any operational matters that arise.
You will be working closely with the operations manager to ensure that the maintenance function is run smoothly and efficiently, whilst identifying any changes which can be made to improve process. Therefore, you will be responsible for the overall success of the department with full accountability for performance against KPI’s as well as working to agreed budgets.
The candidate will be highly motivated and organised, whilst also being able to work autonomously, striving for the highest standards possible for Millers Vanguard.
Your Role:
- Oversee onsite maintenance, PPM schedules and repairs.
- Management of a team of cleaners and gardeners to ensure meticulous standards of our buildings and gardens
- Oversee refurbishment and improvement works from project initiation to completion
- Liaison with 3rd party contractors from maintenance trades
- Act as key point of contact for all facilities matters
- Control the facilities spend
- Maintain accurate record for all statutory checks (gas, electrical, fire safety etc)
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced Facilities Manger who is capable of managing small team and projects from start to finish.
- Must posses a keen eye for detail and take pride in the appearance of the buildings across our estate.
- A technical understanding of facilities management is required and the candidate must be comfortable liaising with various contractors.
Desirables
- A facilities & maintenance background (building maintenance and electrical background desirable).
- Experience of workflow & shift planning across multiple disciplines (Building, cleaning, electrical).
- A keen eye for detail and organisation.
- The ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyse data.
