Key Responsibilities

Fleet Management

• Manage and maintain a large, mixed fleet including HGVs, vans, and cars.
• Oversee PMIs, defect reporting, repairs, and maintenance scheduling.
• Ensure maximum fleet availability and minimal downtime.
• Conduct periodic vehicle inspections and internal audits.
• Manage vehicle cleanliness and upkeep through the in‑house valeting team, ensuring fluid levels and basic checks are maintained.

Vehicle Acquisition & Disposal

• Lead the acquisition, leasing, hire, registration, and disposal of fleet vehicles.
• Coordinate vehicle specifications, racking, livery, and security systems with internal departments.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes to ensure value for money.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure full compliance with highways legislation, VOSA requirements, and Operator Licence obligations.
• Manage insurance administration, fleet risk management, and claims handling including ULR recovery.
• Lead accident investigations, ensuring all evidence is captured for insurers and internal reporting.
• Oversee driver profiling, licence checks, CPC compliance, and driver training.
• Manage ROSPA‑accredited driver trainers and maintain Van Excellence scheme membership.
• Maintain accurate daily vehicle check records and ensure all vehicles remain roadworthy.

Driver Management

• Monitor tachograph data, driving hours, and Working Time Directive compliance.
• Track driver behaviour, speeding, parking offences, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Support driver coaching and performance improvement initiatives.

Cost Control & Performance Management

• Monitor and analyse fuel usage, maintenance spend, and operational overheads.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive operational efficiency.
• Track and report on key fleet KPIs including:
• Accident rate and accident types
• Accident costs
• Fleet downtime
• Fuel consumption
• Maintenance cost per mile

Telematics, CCTV & Data Analysis

• Utilise vehicle CCTV, GPS tracking, and telematics systems to monitor location, fuel efficiency, and driver performance.
• Use fleet software to support data‑driven decision‑making and operational improvements.

Policy & Standards Management

• Uphold company ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards across fleet operations.
• Develop, implement, and update fleet policies relating to safe vehicle use, loading, and maintenance.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Technical understanding of vehicle mechanics, fleet systems, and telematics.
• Analytical ability to interpret fleet data and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for working with drivers, suppliers, and senior leadership.
• Proven experience managing HGV and commercial van fleets.
• Operator Licence qualification (or working towards).

About the Role

You will be responsible for reviewing technical information from our field engineers and preparing clear, accurate condition reports for our major retail clients. These reports help customers understand the condition of their loading bay assets and make informed decisions regarding repair or replacement.

This is a technical support role. Your focus will be on accuracy, clarity and professional communication.

You will work closely with our in-house technical specialists and installations team to ensure customers receive the right information at the right time.

Key responsibilities as a Technical Advisor:

• Reviewing technical assessments from field engineers to identify assets that may be beyond economical repair
• Preparing structured condition reports for:
• Hydraulic dock levellers (swing-lip & telescopic-lip)
• Scissor lift tables
• Loading bay lifts
• Dock shelters & seals
• Buffer posts, dock bumpers & ancillary safety systems
• Liaising with our technical and installations teams to ensure accurate information is shared internally
• Communicating with customers where clarification or updates are required

What we’re looking for in a Technical Advisor:

• Experience working with loading bay equipment such as dock levellers, scissor lifts or loading bay lifts (essential)
• Knowledge of ancillary components including dock shelters, seals, buffer posts, bumpers and safety systems
• Basic Microsoft Excel capability
• Confidence communicating via email and phone
• A collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with multiple departments

This role is particularly suited to a former engineer who wants to apply their technical knowledge in an office-based environment.

Job Description:

Due to significant growth in our customer base, we are now looking to recruit experienced Commercial Refrigeration Engineer’s to join both our Reactive Engineering and planned preventative maintenance section.

Your Role:

• Based from home attending customer sites within your region
• You will attend Reactive or PPM calls to repair and maintain equipment on our customer sites
• Carrying out repair and maintenance activities within capability range
• To communicate on a regular basis with our Operations Team providing updates on work tasks
• To accurately and securely maintain all vehicle stock, tools and equipment

Our ideal candidate:

• F-Gas Certification
• C&G electrical qualifications/experience
• Walk in Fridge/Freezer experience
• Stable work history with good engineering skills
• Willingness to develop new skills and qualifications
• Minimum City & Guilds level 2 qualified.
• CO2 and Hydrocarbons and has a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Full driving licence

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Industrial Project Manager with proven experience in the maintenance and installation of a full range of industrial & commercial doors, gates, barriers and loading bay equipment. This role includes regular UK travel, overnight stays, and occasional out-of-hours work.

This role also requires strong technical, leadership, and communication skills to effectively lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive successful outcomes within the Installations department.

The role will support the H&S function of the department, along with inter-department relationships and resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

• In-depth understanding of project delivery processes, from work winning and bid development through to project closeout.
• Strong working knowledge of UK technical and regulatory frameworks, as well as awareness of global best practices.
• A clear focus on process safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance.
• Significant expertise in project controls – including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change management.
• Agile, innovative, and highly collaborative approach to problem-solving and team leadership.
• Confident in client-facing environments, with a strong ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Complete pre-installation surveys to identify any potential issues, M&E upgrades, access/egress problems etc.
• Complete post-installation surveys and handovers, ensuring all installations are carried out to a high standard
• Produce detailed engineering reports
• Lead and drive the Innovation process, procedures and compliance for all projects
• Undertake additional tasks relevant to the position as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• A full UK driving licence.
• Experienced Industrial door engineer with knowledge/certification of EN 16005, EN 13241, EN 12453, EN 12604, EN 12424, EN 16034, EN 12445, and UKCA
• Knowledge of working at height, manual handling, RAMs and H&S.
• Hands-on experience with Powered access equipment.
• Experience with safe electrical works.
• Relevant engineering experience.

Highly skilled and proactive Reactive Engineer to carry out both breakdown repairs (reactive maintenance) and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on loading bay equipment. This includes dock levellers, scissor lifts, and associated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. To respond to emergency callouts, diagnose complex faults, complete high‑quality repairs, and deliver routine servicing to keep customer equipment safe, compliant, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair faults on scissor lifts, dock levellers, and other loading bay equipment.
• Provide urgent breakdown support, ensuring minimal interruption to customer operations.
• Carry out detailed mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fault-finding.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Deliver clear updates to the Operations Centre and customers about job status and resolutions.
• Execute scheduled PPM visits in line with customer SLAs and asset schedules.
• Fully inspect and test loading bay systems to identify early signs of wear, unsafe components, or developing faults.
• Complete lubrication, adjustments, calibrations, and functional checks to manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure PPM is completed to a high standard, reducing unplanned downtime and improving equipment reliability.
• Provide and document recommendations for remedial works, upgrades, or safety improvements following each service.
• Ensure all work complies with PUWER, LOLER (where applicable), and company safety procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and always adhere to site safety rules.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards, equipment manuals, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with the Operations and Service teams to support customer needs.

Essential Requirements:

• High degree of flexibility in working hours and types of jobs undertaken.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Advanced understanding of Loading Bay Equipment.
• High degree of mobility – travelling throughout the region, and at times throughout the country, as and where directed
